Abstract

The aim of this study; It is the examination of happiness levels of physical education and sports college students studying in Konya, Burdur and Ankara. 229 students, 64.6% female and 35.4% male, participated in the study. In this study; It was used the scale of happiness developed by Hills and Argyle (2002) and adapted to Turkish by Doğan and Çötok (2011). In research statistics; due to the normal distribution of the data, independent samples t-test and ANOVA, which are parametric tests, were used, and personal characteristics, frequency and percentage values were analyzed (α = 0.05). According to the findings obtained from the research; In the comparisons made by gender, a significant difference was found between the groups in favor of female (p<0.05). In the comparison made according to the age variables of physical education and sports college students, a significant difference was found between the groups in favor of the younger students (p<0.05). In the comparison made according to the aims of physical education and sports college students to do sports, a significant difference was found between the groups in favor of those who sport for personal skills and talent (p<0.05). Again, according to the results of the research, a significant difference was found in favor of those who stated that they live healthy between variables of healthy life and happiness levels (p<0.05). However, in the comparisons made according to the social life variables of the students, it was found no significant difference between the groups (p>0.05). As a result, it was determined that the happiness levels of physical education and sports school students were at a medium level..
